IACET - International Association for Continuing Education and Training - is the organization that sets the standard. Their mission is to advance the global workforce by creating the standard framework for quality learning and development through accreditation. They developed the original CEU and maintain the ANSI/IACET standard. Using the IACET vision the ICSD operates from a set of goals that reflects field research and other new information related to CE/T quality and excellence.
Many organizations claim CEU but unless they have IACET authorized CEU - you can not be certain of the value of this label. So make sure whether you are considering ABT or otherwise that you make sure the CEU is also IACET CEU.
To say that ABT has been accredited as an Authorized Provider by IACET, In order to obtain this approval, ABT had to prove that it complies with the ANSI/IACET standard which is the international recognized standard of good practice. Due to this Authorized Provider status - ABT is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI IACET standard.
